Angel of Light?

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit . . . 2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

I was going to make a blog exclusively about the angel Moroni but since Joseph Smith and Mohammad’s angel show very similar traits, I am going to put them in the same page.

Many religions in this world teach, angels giving them visions. All of which they only witness by themselves. Joseph smith was the only one that saw Moroni the angel in Joseph Smiths visions. Mohamad was the only one that saw the “Gabriel”. Both claim to saw angels of light bringing the true gospel. In order to make a statement to be true in the Bible there has to be at least two witnesses. However, in all the religions that saw such visions saw them alone. (Matt. 18:16; Jn. 8:17,18; 2 Cor. 13:1)

Matthew 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

2 Corinthians 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

Deception is the key to control if you know how to make elaborate lies and make believable fallacies then you are in makings of a great cult leader. This is what most cult leaders have they not only make believable hoaxes but also preached them mixed with truth. Both Islam and Mormonism share the factor of having angels bring them the TRUE GOSPEL. Both of them claim to be from God to bring it to a new era of belief. Both brought the true gospel, or did they? The Bible says “Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” This is a clear warning that there will be an angel from heaven bringing us a different gospel. In addition, we have an instruction of what to do with them, “let them be accursed”. Which means to make them a detestable, separate yourself from them.

I choose only to believe in the witnesses of Christ. The apostles, prophets and Jesus Himself. The only REAL ANGEL of Light is JESUS CHRIST, and when He ascended into heaven, He had three hundred witness to support the claim and all of which testified of His resurrection and return. Therefore, if I were to place my faith on any angel of Light, it would be in Jesus Christ alone.

2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

John 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

The guardian of the plates Moroni is not God sent but a delusion from Satan. Every text where our King James Version has their rightful origin and all of them came from men used by God, and all of them were readily available at the time of its use. Now where are these plate?

That will be the next topic for discussion. See next time.

Cults, Introduction

I have come to an epiphany to create certain series of topics to tackle in “Got the Word?” and since in the last of my few articles I wrote about “Christ and Lucifer, Brother?” I would like to continue the trend and write about cults. What is it a cult, what do they believe and how to answer them when you need to do so.

What is a Cult?

A cult is a religion than is considered as unorthodox, spurious, or even dangerous in its belief. As a Bible Believing Christian, a Cult would be a sect that contradicts the teaching of scripture and most often their teaching results into a dangerous form of belief system. The cult itself is not dangerous but what it teaches, a man’s understanding and belief dictates what he or she does. This is what makes cults dangerous. Some cults believe in human sacrifices to venerate themselves, some worship animals as their gods, some teach polygamy is the norm, and some do believe they too can become gods. Absurd right?

What to do with cults?

The first tool to battle cults would be to put on that armour of faith. Cults tend to be very alluring and to grow at a much higher pace than Christianity. It is their enticing words, glaring activities, and promises are the key to their growth however; they do have a weak spot, their doctrine. As Bible believing Christians it is in this area that we excel in, we should use this to our advantage and fight the good fight. I am warning you though, doctrine may be the weak point of cults but that does not excuse us from studying the Bible. Many people in the cults especially cult leaders or strong followers are intelligent people. You should equip yourself with the right knowledge and wisdom to answer every man that asketh the hope that is in you.

What about the people who does not believe the Bible?

We do not have to do anything but preach. Our goal is to deliver the truth and the truth will deliver them. Many do people do not believe the Bible, they would only consider it as just another book. Even so, we just have to preach, or teach, and rebuke at the times we need to. God’s word does not return to Him void, or without any purpose. Those same words will either judge or excuse that person in the day of judgement.
