The Perplexed Soul

Many a soul there perplexed and lost. We as Christians should be a haste to run and give the wondering soul a rest. The rest is Christ, His love, His salvation calms the raging storm. Binds the heart to a secure foundation. The perplexed soul needs a hand, a hand stretched out to help.

Do not waver, bring the favour from God who shall not differ; so long the soul that wondered takes the hand of the Saviour. Please do be consumed by the fire of compassion for the one who is close to the fire. Break that heart of stone with the hammering image of their damnation.

Perplexed they maybe, souls they will still be. Souls sold under sin, under wrath they seem. Even so their price is so precious that the Son had to give His all to purchase. He redeemed them with His precious life, just as you and me. So be not a slacker to bring the news to ponder.

The perplexed soul not ready, unsaved, without hope, without a future as you were once. Once you where is their position. Lost and dying but gained all through the hand that reached to your perplexed soul. Love the souls as you would love yourself, and as God would have love them.

A Voice from Hell

By Oscar C. Eliason

Oh, why am I here in this place of unrest When others have entered the land of the blest? God’s way of salvation was preached unto men; I heard it and heard it, again and again.

Why did I not listen and turn from my sin And open my heart and let Jesus come in? For vain earthly pleasures my soul did I sell The way I had chosen has brought me to hell.

I wish I were dreaming, but ah, it is true. The way to be saved I had heard and I knew; My time on the earth, oh, so quickly fled by, How little I thought of the day I would die.

When God’s Holy Spirit was pleading with me, I hardened my heart and I turned from His plea. The way that was sinful, the path that was wide, I chose and I walked till the time that I died.

Eternally now, I must dwell in this place. If I from my memory could but erase The thoughts of my past which are haunting me so. Oh, where is a refuge to which I can go?

This torture and suff’ring, how long can I stand? For Satan and demons this only was planned. God’s refuge is Jesus, the One that I spurned; He offered salvation, but from Him I turned.

My brothers and sisters I wish I could warn. Far better ‘twould be if I had not been born. The price I must pay is too horrid to tell My life without God led directly to Hell.

Oh, soul without Christ, will these words be your cry? God’s Word so declares it that all men must die. From hell and its terrors, Oh, flee while you may! So, come to the Saviour; He’ll save you today!

Fear :Evangelism Killer

Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)  Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

All of us has fears. People are afraid of almost anything. We have phobias such as: alto phobia (heights), Arachnophobia (Spiders), Claustrophobia (confined spaces) and etc. In the Church fear kills our evangelism like a disease in a man’s body. Fear of rejection from people and being humiliated; paralyzes the arms of mercy, makes the foot of the preacher lame and stops the mouth of the gospel. Like most diseases there is a solution to this dilemma,  but fist let us lay the diagnostic out for to conclude our solution.

The symptoms of a Fearful Christian.

Doubt

The very opposite to trust, doubt is an enemy of faith. When you doubt you lose your confidence in God resulting into fear. Let us epitomize this with Peter walking on the water, In Matthew 14. When Peter saw the boisterous waves above him; doubt of finishing came in unto him, courage turned into fear. And walking turns into sinking. A little leaven of doubt, leaveneth the whole lump of your trust in God. When you doubt that God can deliver, fear will grip your heart so that you cannot trust God. That is why Peter sunk.

Murmurs and complains

The children of Israel, while encamped in the Red Sea, was frantic when they saw Pharaoh’s Army closing in from behind. They have nowhere to go, Mountains are on their left and right and the Red Sea at their front. Well instead of praying and trust in God this is what they said, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? (Exodus 14:11)” They complained, it did not dawned on them the miracles God has already made in the past. the actual problem with the people of Israel is that they are afraid, it says so in verse 10 “…and they were sore afraid”. All the complaining was simply to hide their fear of the Egyptians. But God still delivered them and parted the red sea.

When your paralyzed

When someone stops preaching, witnessing, and serving God, it is a clear indication of fear. King Saul when Goliath was around did not do any thing. None of the soldiers did anything to kill mighty Goliath, who has been blaspheming the name of God. Until little David came for a visit. And defeat the Giant with just a sling and a stone; power by his faith in God. Fear make you do nothing for the Lord.

Solution:  FEAR ONLY ONE, And that is God. The most healthy fear any one could have is Theophobia (Fear of God). The only fear that has good results such us:

Wisdom- You will be able to make wise decisions. Psalms 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding … Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Even have the wisdom to know what to do in evangelism, wisdom in life.

Fully lived Life – Life dedicated to the work of the Lord is life well spent.  a wise man once said “Only one life so soon be passed, only what’s done for Christ will last” Prov. 10:27, Prolongeth days, Prov. 19:23 tendeth to life. My instructor, Dr. Gerald Sutek is in his 70’s, his instructor, Dr. Peter S. Ruckman is in his 90’s. That is a sure evidence that fear of God results into life. David lived a long life, so did Solomon. Sinfulness and lacking the fear of God, reduces our physical life. As the Bible says “the soul that sinneth it shall die”, I believe this so. But the fear of God is a fountain of life Prov. 14:27.

Results a clean Christian living: Proverbs 16:6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

Remember God is able to deliver, we just need to trust Him, and fear Him more than we fear other. Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.
